Today was Erin's Nine Month picture session! We went to Portrait Innovations again and were quite pleased with the outcome, however it took FOREVER to get in and out of there! Never again will we take pictures around Christmas time!

I had about 14 bakers partipate in my annual cookie exchange/gift exchange/holiday party. We had quite the evening and no fires were reported this year! Always good news! As I imagined, Erin spent the evening upstairs with the ladies being passed around and oogled over even though I told Ryan he'd be in charge of her that night. Oh well, no one seemed to mind and Erin loves lady things!

We took Erin to see Santa Claus for the first time. Santa's House was downtown in front of the College Football Hall of Fame. We waited outside for about 10 minutes and Erin got to sit on the big guys lap! Erin was very intrigued by Santa's beard! I think she wanted to pull on it! She didn't cry but she wasn't super happy either. I look forward to when she will be able to understand what Santa really means!

We stopped by G-pa's house on the way home to put "our" ornaments on his tree.
Dad and Susan invited us over to make futtigman with them this year. Dad opted for the traditional method of making futtigman complete with lard! My were we in for a surprise when it started cooking in the skillet! We had quite a good time and made a double batch. Erin especially enjoyed sampling the fare!

We went in search of the perfect Christmas tree for Erin's first Christmas! Our initial plan was to go cut one down from a tree farm but there was too much snow, it was too cold and the roads were horrible! We didn't want to take Erin out in the mess for so long while we cut one down.
We ended up finding a cute little lot by Ryan's Steakhouse on Grape Road. It looked like a scene out of a movie. Lights strung around on poles and a RV for a "shop", complete with a port-a-potty! We found a great deal and a perfect tree!
Erin had all us girls over for a fun game of board games, snacks and drinks. We had a great time!
