Day with Grandpa & Auntie A

Erin spent the day with Grandpa and Auntie A. They came over first thing in the morning and played all day long with Erin. They went to Pizza Hut for lunch and visited Ryan at work. Erin got to ride on a golf cart and got to explore "Daddy's office". She had too much fun!

Erin is getting better at walking and is becoming braver. She sometimes just lets go and starts taking steps towards where she wants to go.

Ryan's 26th Birthday!

We celebrated Ryan's birthday by going to Outback Steakhouse for dinner. His dad, sisters and my mom all came to dinner with us and we had a great time.


The highlight of the evening came when Ryan couldn't go to the bathroom because he couldn't figure out if he was a "Bloke" or a "Shillelagh" or so he called it (The door actually said Sheila). He had to come back and ask us which door to go in. Then we started discussing other "bathroom options" at other restaurants. "Phillies and Studs" at Bookmakers (that one confused Amanda at her 21st birthday) and "Pointers and Setters" on the outhouses on My Big Redneck Wedding.

Erin really likes listening to country music. She dances and bops around whenever she hears it! She is very particular about the kind of songs she likes.

Well, it was inevitable, Erin has learned how to pout. She crosses her arms when she gets frustrated and whines! She also has started to "fake" cough when she wants more. Sigh, such a spoiled little girl! What are we going to do with her?!?!


We found another food that Erin loves. Gerber Graduates Sweet Potato puffs. They are kind of like little cereal bits. She could eat a million of them. I think she just enjoys picking them up and putting them in her mouth! We also finally found something that Erin doesn't like. Diced peaches. She spits them out and makes a funny face!

Snow, snow and more snow!

We just keep getting more and more snow! And it keeps getting colder and colder and colder! According to the news, it was the coldest today than it has been in many years. (19 below zero not including the windchill!!) BRRRRRR!! We've got at least a foot of snow on the ground and it doesn't show any signs of letting up!

Erin's Cabinet

We have a cabinet next to the sofa with takeout menus and various other booklet type items in it. It is Erin's favorite place to get into. She enjoys reading the remote control instruction booklet. I guess she'll be a numbers girl like her mom! She also has begun babbling a lot more. She talks to herself quite often and just enjoys hearing herself make noise. Her most popular "word" is "dada" however she has recently begun screaming "mamamamama" when she is mad. :) Finally!!!

I was hoping to get Erin to smile big enough to get a picture of all her teeth (two on bottom and three on top) but she only gave me a little smile so you can only see the bottom two!

Erin's First Wrestling Meet

Ryan wanted to go to a Clay High School wrestling meet to see his old coach and congratulate him on his 350th win. Erin and I went with him and met G-Pa, Auntie A and Uncle Mitch to watch the match up of Clay vs Marion. Erin really enjoyed herself.

Indian Glasses

Erin broke her first Indian glass. Evidently, this is a "rite of passage" for any Riesenberg to go through. The Indian glass set is a set of glasses from Ryan's Grandma Riesenberg. Erin was getting into the cabinet where they were stored and we weren't fast enough. Luckily, it just cracked and she didn't hurt herself.
