Flower Girl

Erin has been asked to be the flower girl in Aunt Mary Jane's wedding in the spring. So we went to try on dresses.  She looked so pretty! I think she liked dressing up! :) She sure liked posing for pictures though!

I went golfing yesterday and hit a couple of good shots! This one was so good I had to take a picture.

Putt-Putt

On Friday, we went to play Putt-Putt for Amanda's birthday.  Erin LOVED it.  She'd been before but she really enjoyed herself this time and seemed to "get it."  She even got a hole-in-one!  Afterwards she kept asking to "putt-putt" (SO CUTE!). 
We are convinced Erin is a child prodigy of putt-putt golf.  She got three hole-in-ones while playing golf on Sunday!  Amazing!  (Pretty sure they were accidental but still!)  She got "twos" on the rest of the holes making for a double birdie score overall.  (When asked what she scored she only says "two" even if she got three, five, thirteen....)  :)  We should get this kid some lessons. Maybe Mommy and Daddy could retire early! ;) 
While she sometimes places her ball inches from the hole, she also plays like she is supposed to and only moves it with her club.  She also helps everyone else hit their last shot into the hole.  She is quite the avid golfer!

Mom, BIKE!

Erin put her helmet on all by herself and said "BIKE!" So out we went to try out her bike again.

Yoga!

Erin LOVES to do yoga.  She gets out my yoga mat and puts her arms above her head and stretches to tell me she wants to do yoga.

Friends!

Our friend from Purdue, Lisa, was in town for the weekend so we got to visit with her.  It was great catching up with her! 

Erin made herself right at home! :)

Potty Prize #1!

Erin has been rewarded for going potty in the big girl potty TEN times!  This morning we had to get gas on our way to Patti's.  So of course Erin asked for cocoa.  So I thought it would be the perfect reward for going potty since it worked so well for sleeping through the night!  Erin got her cocoa and was as excited as a pig in slop!  It was adorable. She kept saying "Mom!  Cocoa!" and she'd hold up her cup. :)

Two Stickers Away!

Erin has been doing so well with using the potty.  She went three times at my mom's house over the weekend!  She doesn't even need a potty chair!  After she uses the potty ten times she will get a prize.  So only two more times and she'll get a special treat.  (What the prize will be is still TBD...) We are SO PROUD of her!!! All of the times she used the potty she told us she had to.  She'll be potty trained before you know it!

Cute Things Erin Does

Erin has always been cute and a charmer, but lately I've noticed myself saying "OMG, she is the cutest thing EVER!" waaaay more often.

1) We were at the lake over the fourth and she kept calling the lake a "pool".  And the jetskis were "bikes".  When you try to correct her by saying "No Erin that is a lake/jetski." She says, "Gop (stop) Mom, Pool." or "Gop Mom, Bike!"

2) In the car in the mornings, Erin's new favorite song is "Low" by Flo Rida.  (You know "apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur.") During the "low, low, low" part Erin sings "Whoa whoa whoa" and purses her lips. A-DOR-A-BLE! She also enjoys Wheels on the Bus, Twinkle Twinkle, the ABCs, Itsy Bitsy Spider and Baa Baa Black Sheep.

3) Pee is poop and poop is poop.  When Erin has to go to the big girl potty she says "poop" and usually just pees.  HEY! Whatever works!!  But poop also sounds like "pool" and "Pooh." So sometimes you don't know if she has to go to the bathroom, wants to go swimming or listen to "My Friends Tigger and Pooh" song.

4) She calls dogs "goggies". 

5) She makes you count everything. Steps, telephone poles, pictures in books. Everything.

Summer's Bounty

I have harvested my first batch of green beans from my bean plants.  I'm so proud of my first attempt at gardening!  My peppers will hopefully be ready soon too. They are adorable!

Fourth of July Weekend

Better late than never! We went up to the Kestermeier's for the bulk of the weekend of the fourth. The weather was FANTASTIC! Couldn't have been more perfect.
