Erin loves the water! She likes playing in it, pouring it on herself and splashing up a storm! She especially likes to splash Mommy and pour buckets of water on her.

Someone's Ready to Go Swimming!

We were getting ready to go to the lake this weekend and had blown up Erin's floaty. It was sitting on the counter. Apparently Erin REALLY wanted to get a head start on this season's swimming because she pulled the floaty down and climbed in! She played in the floaty for about ten minutes!

Ring Around the Rosie

Erin's new favorite game is Ring Around the Rosie. She holds out her little hands for you to grab and she starts walking in a big circle. Then when you fall down she holds her hands out to play "again". It might be the cutest thing ever. She also "invites" you to play by stopping mid-song and holds her hand out for you to grab. She won't start going again until whoever she wants to join comes and grabs her hand. It is adorable!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Ryan!

We enjoyed a nice father's day dinner at Max & Erma's with Ryan's family. Then we went to Putt Putt (our annual father's day tradition) where Dad's putt for free. Erin enjoyed her first putt putt experience. She mostly just threw the ball around and went to retrieve them from the hole. Ryan and I walked away with a nice, fine victory. Long live the Red Team! I got TWO hole-in-ones! Go me!

Erin got Ryan a "My Daddy and Me" photo album and a set of "Riesenberg Tavern" bar glasses for Father's Day. She even picked out his father's day card.

Cookout at the Langley's

We went to the Langley's for a cookout. The Davidsons, the Marshs, the Weatherlys, and Erin and her friend were there. We had a great time hanging out, eating hamburgers, sitting around the fire pit, playing cornhole, lasso golf and horseshoes. The night was complete when Blane brought out glowsticks for everyone. That was a blast!

Check Up!

Erin went for another doctor's checkup today. She is 24.2lbs (75th percentile), 30 1/4 inches tall (50th percentile) and has an 18 1/2 inch head (75th percentile)! She has had some pretty icky allergies lately and has been waking up coughing in the middle of the night. We were prescribed Claritin and it is a wonder-drug! She feels so much better! She still wakes up at night coughing but she isn't gagging on her mucus at least.

My grandma goes to the same doctor and happened to have an appointment that same day right before Erin's appointment. So she stuck around to see her little "peanut".

She is growing up so fast right before our eyes! It is hard to believe that she is already 15 months old! She isn't a baby anymore, she is a little girl!

Mary Jane's Surprise Birthday Party

Mary Jane had a surprise 18th birthday party today. We went over to Ryan's mom's house for dinner and cake. Erin found her new favorite food: Cheese Doodles! You couldn't tear her away from the bowl. She found a little step stool and would climb right up and help herself!

Erin also LOVES ice. She has been found multiple times on many different occassions digging in coolers, glasses and buckets for ice cubes. Her little hands get so cold! But she sure does enjoy herself! She'll put one in her mouth and then put it back in the cooler. So a word to the wise...if you are at our house or a gathering that Erin attends, don't assume the ice in the cooler is clean...

She is also going to be the ultimate cornhole player as well. She is quite the ringer. She tossed them right into the hole. While I realize she was only a couple of inches away, if she is this good now? Just imagine in a couple years!!

There was another little girl there that was about Erin's age. They were quite intrigued by one another and played nicely all evening. They even played pretty music together!

Euchre Night!

Ryan and I hosted Euchre Night for our family and friends this month. We hope it will be a monthly (or so) ritual. We had about 13 people over to play and hang out. We did a progressive tournement so no one was "stuck" with the same partner for too long. It was a lot of fun and hopefully the start of a nice tradition.
