"Puh-Puh" and Garbage
Erin has started saying "puh" for please. So anytime she wants something, "Puh, Puh!" How can you say no to that?!?!
Erin has also started learning to throw things away! She was at Grandma's house over the weekend and when Grandma would tell her it was time to change her diaper, Erin would lay down in the middle of the floor! Then when she was done, Erin would take her dirty diaper and disappear. At first Grandma wasn't sure what she would do with it. Then Erin went into the kitchen and threw it away!
We were cleaning her up yesterday with a wet paper towel. Erin took it and disappeared again. She had gone into the kitchen and thrown it away as well! Definitley a girl after her Daddy's heart! Now we just have to be careful that she only throws things away that we want her to!

Halloween Cookies
We are getting into the Halloween spirit around our house. We brought out the Halloween decorations and began putting them up this weekend. I'm also getting things together for Erin's Halloween costume (she is going to be a chicken!)
Erin and Mommy made Halloween Sugar Cookies (click here for the recipe) and they turned out pretty well. Erin really enjoyed decorating the cookies with sprinkles. (She even snuck some bites of dough and sprinkles while mommy wasn't looking. Stinker!)

Hillary & Evan's Wedding
I went to a co-worker's wedding over the weekend. Ryan was at the Purdue/ND game (ugh, glad I didn't go!) and my mom watched Erin for the night. I went with Diana and Zach and a former co-worker/friend Paige and her new boyfriend Doug (Dug and Page). The wedding was in Niles and the reception was on Davis Lake in Edwardsburg. It was a gorgeous view but a little chilly!
We had a really nice time and it was good to catch up with Paige. We haven't seen her in at least a year! She moved to Kansas City two years ago and I've missed her terribly! Diana and Zach got to get a break from their little one too.
Way cute Centerpieces!

Congratulations Hillary & Evan! (Unfortunatley my camera battery died early on in the evening and I didn't even get any pictures of the bride and groom! I'm such a terrible wedding guest.)

I Got My Hairs Cut!
I went way out on a limb and chopped off about 2lbs of hair! I couldn't take it anymore and I have no more hair left. Well not really, but it sure feels like it! I really do think it was about 2 lbs!

Tailgating: Part Duex!
The Notre Dame/Michigan State game was this weekend. We went to my mom's for the day and had a nice time. Erin did better sleeping this time and took a nice nap in the stroller while we were tailgating. (I forgot my camera so I didn't get this adorable shot!)
Erin enjoyed playing with Riley and Layla. They got along so well and played well together. Erin and Layla were especially interested in each other. It was really cute to watch!

Erin Counting Cars
Everytime we go to Grandma's house, Erin has to sit on the stoop and count the cars as they go by.
One!
We had gone over to Grandma's to go grocery shopping with her for the tailgate on Saturday. Erin got to ride around in a car shopping cart!

Golfing
Well, I finally made it out golfing! I try to get out at least once a year and it took until September to get out for the first time! We went out last Tuesday to golf at South Bend Country Club. We also went out again this Monday. I remembered my camera this time! Erin was very well behaved and stayed in the cart most of the time. Occassionally she'd come up to the green with us to practice her putting skills.

Karaoke Queen
Erin LOVES singing! We went to big Erin's for a party and she had karaoke going. Little Erin got right in there and sang duets with Mommy and big Erin! It was adorable! Hopefully she'll have a better singing voice than her Mom!
Ready for Winter!
We bought Erin her first snowsuit. She is ready to go out and play in the snow. I hope she can move around when the time comes. Right now she looks like a "fat guy in a little coat!" "I can't put my arms down!"
"Mom, why'd you do this to me when it's 85 degrees outside?"
"What are these strange looking things on my hands?"
"See Mom! I can't even sit down!"
Well at least she'll be warm!

Reading with Daddy!
Erin loves to read. She brings us book after book to read to her. Her favorites include: Dr. Suess's ABC book, Mommy Hugs, Valentine Zoo and Baby Einstein Look and Find

Tailgating!
First official tailgate of the football season! Fall is upon us and football is in full swing! We stayed the night at my mom's to avoid gameday traffic and Erin did NOT sleep well. So we had a short night. Despite being overtired, we headed out to Notre Dame to tailgate with some friends over the weekend. Erin had fun and is turning out to be quite portable! We can take her anywhere even if she is running on no sleep!
Ryan took Erin and the two dogs out early to the Kestermeier tailgate. I waited at my mom's for Melissa and Cory to arrive and we headed out. Made our way through campus and hung out at the Kestermeier's until just prior to kick off and made our way home to watch the game.

Fishy, Fishy, Fishy, Fishy
We have been looking into getting some fish for Erin for a few months now. She loves to watch the fish at the doctor's office and at my dad's house. We thought it would be perfect to have a nice tank in Erin's room. She wakes up every morning excited to go see her fish and helps feed them. She waves "goodnight" to them before she goes to sleep. It is adorable!
We did have a bit of a mishap though. We bought the fish on Sunday evening. Brought them home, acclimated them to their tank and well, Ryan went in there Monday morning to three "floaters." Whoops! Good thing Petco gives you a 15 day guarantee on your fish! We took them back on Monday night and got two more of a "hearty" variety. They are still kicking!

Movie Tuesdays
Erin knows what to do with a ball and a bat! She'll be playing little league in no time! Can you just imagine her with her pink helmet, cleats, bat and glove!?!? :)
