Visiting with Friends

Ryan and I got to visit with Lisa while she was in town.  It was so good to see her!  I miss her terribly and it was nice to catch up.  Plus we got to eat some fabulous Indian food that her mom made. We love you Lis!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving.  I'm terrible and didn't take very many pictures at Thanksgiving.  Check out Amanda's Blog for a complete recap. (Thanks Amanda!)  We did take our family picture for the Christmas cards!  I did however capture Erin's new "smiley" face.

Thanksgiving Decorations

I went a little crazy in the Thanksgiving Decoration department this year.  Erin and I were busy in the days leading up to Turkey Day.  We made lots of cute decorations to have for our Thanksgiving Feast.

We made a banner out of construction paper, raffia and nature items (crab apples, cinnamon sticks, bark, leaves, grass, etc.) Erin enjoyed helping Mommy pick out things from the yard.  She didn't however enjoy gluing the items to paper.  She didn't like getting glue on her hands.

Then I made little turkeys out of silk flowers. I think they turned out pretty cute.  Apparently Kramer thought they were cute too (and tasty, he ate two or three).

I also made place cards for everyone.  They are supposed to be little "Mayflower" ships.

Foodie Friday

Spaghetti Pie - One of our favorite recipes. Kind of a cross between spaghetti and lasagna.  I mixed it up this time using spaghetti squash "noodles" in place of pasta.  It turned out really great!! I made two individual size portions using spaghetti squash for me (one for dinner and one for a subsequent lunch.) I also made a large pie plate size for Ryan and Erin with whole wheat noodles.

So cute

Erin all ready for the day. Doesn't she look adorable!  Her hair was up for about 2.5 minutes.

Georgie Porgie

You know the nursery rhyme, Georgie Porgie?
Georgie Porgie pudding and pie,
Kissed the girls and made them cry
When the boys came out to play,
Georgie Porgie ran away.

Pretty sure it should be:
Erin, Erin pudding and pie
Kissed the boys and made them cry
When the boys came out to play,
Erin, Erin ran away

Found out that Erin not only pushes boys down and daycare and tackles them. But apparently she kissed one too!  She is going to be a handful!

Happy Birthday Kramer!

Yesterday was Kramer's 1st Birthday. Since we had such a big party for Peyton on her first birhtday we felt as though we should have at least a little celebration for Kramer too. I made him a Banana Peanut Doggie Cake (with Cinnamon Frosting) and Ryan bought him some doggie cookies. We sang to him and he wore his first birthday hat! It was kind of cute and a lot of fun!

Erin even tried to help blow out the candles (after the cake was cut but she didn't know the difference!)

Erin and her Pretties

Erin is such a girl! She loves putting jewelry on. Rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, the whole nine yards.  She is such a girl, I LOVE IT!
No we don't REALLY have her ears pierced, we just hung danglies on the top of her ear.

Night Out

We went to Madison Oyster Bar for drinks on Friday and had a great time!  We hung out and played Euchre, pool and darts until all hours of the night.  It was nice to visit with Becky and Mike and Matt came to visit for a bit too!

Foodie Friday

Herb Rubbed Chicken and Orzo - I liked the idea of this dish better than the outcome.  It was too "spicy" for me. It wasn't hot, just too many different herby flavors.  I don't think I'll make this again. Plus I think I overcooked the orzo and it was kind of mushy. It looked pretty good though!

Chicken Stroganoff -  I shredded the chicken once it had cooked, added about a 1/4 cup of skim milk at the beginning to thin out the sauce and used whole wheat pasta.  The sauce was a little think but I think I would add more milk next time to thin it out.  Turned out pretty good. Ryan loved it!  Super Easy Crockpot recipe. Will definitely make again. (I forgot to take a picture but it wasn't anything special to look at)

Movie Tuesdays!

Erin loves her dolls and has started "changing" their diapers just like Mommy and Daddy change Erin's!  She is a little Mommy!
She has also started telling Mommy and Daddy when it is time to change her diaper. She grabs her diaper and wipes and goes and lies down on the kitchen floor! (Not sure why the kitchen floor, we've never changed her there before! Maybe because she is close to the trash can?!?) You know what that means?!?! Almost potty training time!

Unseasonably Warm Weather

We have been having unseasonably warm weather the past few days and it has been in the 60s all weekend!  Erin and Daddy were playing outside in the leaves during halftime of the football games.

This picture is the epitome of Erin. She is pretty much a whirlwind of activity ALL THE TIME!

Ryan climbed up into the tree to get his football that got stuck.  Of course Erin had to do the same.

80's Party

Our friend Erin, hosted an 80's party.  We all got dressed up in 80's garb and partied on!

Billy Idol, Angus and Don Johnson

The night wouldn't be complete without a little karaoke!

Rib Cook Off

The Davidsons and Erin and I made the trek out to tailgate this week to our co-workers annual Rib Cookoff. Erin tried some of Tom's award winning ribs and was quite impressed!

By the time we got back Erin was tuckered out!

Erin and her Bubby

Erin loves feeding her dolls. We randomly find her dolls with unidentifiable goop and globs of stuff on their face and mouths. Erin loves to share!
