Dress Up



Erin has really taken to dressing up. She always seems to be wearing her tiaras, high heels and various other accessories whenever given the chance.

Erin & Her Makeup

Erin got tons of makeup, jewelry, jewelry boxes and dress up items including tiaras, tutus and high heeled shoes for Christmas. She loves every bit of them!  One evening she did however go a bit overboard on her makeup...

Luckily we weren't going anywhere! She is actually quite skilled at eye makeup application! Maybe she'll be a hair-beauty girl!

Our Princess

Erin is a little princess these days.  Uncle Pat and Aunt Karen got her a princess dress for Christmas and it is just about her favorite thing to wear!  She found it last night and decided to wear it along with her tiara and princess high heels

Lipstick

Erin found a tube of lipstick and decided to try it out.  She actually did a decent job of applying it on herself. She was quite proud! :)

Bejeweled!

We took Erin to get her ears pierced this weekend!  We've been wrestling with the idea for sometime.  Ryan wanted to get them done at an early age but I fought it because I wanted to be sure it was something she wanted.  Lately, when I put on my earrings in the morning, Erin guestures to her ears and wants to wear some too. I talked it over with Ryan and he thought it would be best to wait until she is older because he thought maybe she'd play with them too much. (Oh how the tables have turned!)  We hadn't made a decision and decided we'd just wait and see. 

We went to the mall on Saturday to walk around and window shop. While we were there we just decided to take the plunge.  We asked Erin if she wanted to (three or four times!) and she said "K!"  So we got her ears pierced! She did so well!!!  She only cried for about two minutes and was more scared of the marker than the "guns". Such a big girl!  She doesn't even seem to notice them!  She looks so old now! (At least three! :) )  he he. I still have yet to get a really good shot of them but here is what I have so far.

Getting Pretty!

We found Erin on the kitchen counter the other day.  Usually she scales the counter to get to her Easter candy.  This time, she found something waaaaay more exciting. Mommy's makeup!  She insists on playing with my makeup brushes in the morning when I do my makeup.  She calls it "paint."  SO CUTE!

Erin Loves All Things Pretty

Erin climbed up on a kitchen chair, got a candleholder down and filled it with crayons.  Brought it to Mommy and Daddy and said "OOOOOoooooooh!"  (That means pretty!) She makes us smile so much!

Found out that Erin not only pushes boys down and daycare and tackles them. But apparently she kissed one too!  She is going to be a handful!

Erin is such a girl! She loves putting jewelry on. Rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, the whole nine yards.  She is such a girl, I LOVE IT!
No we don't REALLY have her ears pierced, we just hung danglies on the top of her ear.

Movie Tuesdays!

Erin loves her dolls and has started "changing" their diapers just like Mommy and Daddy change Erin's!  She is a little Mommy!

She has also started telling Mommy and Daddy when it is time to change her diaper. She grabs her diaper and wipes and goes and lies down on the kitchen floor! (Not sure why the kitchen floor, we've never changed her there before! Maybe because she is close to the trash can?!?) You know what that means?!?! Almost potty training time!

Great Grandma bought Erin a purse since she always steals everyone elses and carries it around. Now she has somewhere to put her keys and cell phone! It may be the cutest thing in the world!
