We went to dinner at Max & Erma's with G-Pa and Auntie A to celebrate Auntie A's Correctional Officer of the Month award!

Erin likes to spy on all the diners and talk to the people as they walk by. Quite the little social butterfly we've created!

She also really likes caramel cheesecake!

Erin loves to play her "drum" (her wooden spoon and bowl)

She also tries to stand up using the bowl for support.

She also stands up at the ottoman.

And she can sit up and drink her bottle!

She is doing so many new things everyday! It is hard to get pictures of them all! She is also learning to wave. She knows how to "high five" and is slowly grasping the How big is Erin "SOOOO Big!" game.

Pumpkin Patch

Ryan, Erin and I took Aunt Allison and Aunt Katie on our annual Pumpkin Patch trip up to "The Patch" in Niles, MI. It was a beautiful day for all the fall fixins! It was 60 degrees and sunny.

We went on a hayride.

Walked around a corn maze. (It was much more complicated and easier to get lost than in years past!)

Picked out pumpkins.

Saw the farm animals (chickens, pigs, bunnies and cats.)

And had snacks (caramel apples, apple cider and pumpkin cookies!) Erin even tried a bit of pumpkin cookie. She loved it! She still wanted to try the big girls caramel apples and cider though!

Erin has started pulling herself up on everything, chair rungs, table rungs, the coffee table, the ottoman, other babies EVERYTHING! She also likes to chew on all of the above (minus other babies!)

And she still loves to eat! And she is learning not to stick her tongue out when she smiles.

Erin is sitting up so well! Such a big girl!

October 14, 2008

We've decided never to buy Erin toys again. Her favorite things to play with right now are a plastic mixing bowl and wooden spoon. Maybe she'll be a baker like her mom!

October 6, 2008

Erin tried a cracker for the first time and loved it! She no longer likes sweet things now that she has discovered salt. She has started to feed herself crackers and can even pick up the crumbs and after a few tries can get them into her mouth!

She also has learned how to smile without her tongue!

October 5, 2008

Erin has been under the weather for the past couple of weeks and hasn't slept well. She is finally feeling better and is trying to catch up on her sleep. The past few nights she has fallen asleep on the floor watching tv with Mommy and Daddy!

Notre Dame vs Purdue Tailgating

The Boilermakers were in town to take on the Fighting Irish. Quite a few of our friends made it home for the weekend too so we were able to visit with those we hadn't seen in a while.

On Saturday, the Langleys and the Weatherlys came over and we went tailgating. We brought Erin and Peyton along and Niki came in from Indy for the game. Erin was the best little tailgater! No one hardly knew she was there. She enjoyed watching the people and going on a ride in her stroller.

Diana and Erin

We stopped at our coworker Tom's tailgate and made it to our other coworkers "bus" tailgate. Then we separated and Niki, Erin, Peyton and I headed over to the Kestermeier's tailgate. Phil, Kippy, Dave, and Wrobel were all in town for the weekend. They were all really excited to see Erin!
