Today, was Erin's first Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. As we do every year, we go to Starlight Pizza for veggie and cheese pizza with Ryan's family. Erin LOVED her pizza! She ate an entire piece herself (minus the 4 or 5 pieces she dropped on the floor! Sorry Mr. Waiter Guy!) She played with the foosball table and drove the car video game.
Erin has started waving "Bye-Bye" again. She stopped when she learned how to walk!
We took a road trip to Cincinnati for Ryan's Uncle Jim's surprise 50th birthday party. Ryan, Erin and I left on Friday night and drove to Phil and Kristin's house, a nice halfway point for us to stop. They were very happy to see Erin and couldn't believe how big she had gotten. We got an early start on Saturday morning and made the rest of the trip in good time. We hung out in the hotel with Ryan's dad, Amanda, Mary Jane, Cory and Chris.
The party started around 7:00 at an indoor golf place. His Uncle Jim seemed pretty excited that we made the trip and it was good to see him and his new wife, Ranae. We had dinner and a couple drinks. Then Ryan and I took Erin back to the hotel to go to bed. On Sunday we went to brunch at his Uncle's house and we also were picking up our newest addition to our family, Kramer! He is a pug/pomeranian mix and is absolutely adorable! We left around noon for the trip back. We made good time and pulled into town at around 4:45!
Erin, Daddy and I went to my mom's house to watch the Super Bowl. Erin played with two other little boys. Did she ever want to just take off running like the "big kids!"
