Painting Fiasco

As I've mentioned before, Erin loves to paint.  She paints pictures any chance she can and has painted close to ten pictures in the span of three or four days.  Ryan was mowing the lawn and I was upstairs. Erin got out her painting things and set to work.  On a new canvas.  Her face and arms.  Luckily watercolors are SUPER washable (you don't even need soap!)
Eating chocolate from the kitchen counter (she can now scale the bar stools to get on the counter to find her Easter candy. Unfortunately she can't find her way down on her own.)

Bribery Works Wonders

The other night, I was at my wit's end and wanted Erin to sleep through the night, in her own bed.  I know she is obsessed with Speedway (the gas station.) We drive past it every morning and she points and says "OOOOOOOhh!".  She loves going inside and picking out treats (plus she gets a lot of attention from the patrons. "Oh she is so cute!"  So I told her that if she slept through the night, in her own bed, we'd go to Speedway in the morning.  She ended up sleeping through the night (we didn't hear a peep!)! Yea!!

So in the morning we headed to Speedway.  She picked out hot chocolate (like Mommy's cup!) and a Cosmic Brownie.  Here she is SOOOO excited about her Speedway hot chocolate. (I should have also taken a picture of my "sooooo.excited.Erin.slept.through.the.night.face".)

Yes, we are in the car. No, I am parked at a stoplight. Yes, that is a booger hanging out of her nose that I somehow missed while washing her face.

Waiting Patiently

The other night we heard the ice cream truck on the next street over. We ran out front and waited at the foot of our driveway.  He never showed up. :(  But here is a picture of Erin with her money waiting patiently for the ice cream truck.

Movie Tuesdays!

Last year on Erin's birthday, I sent her picture in to the local news station. They put her picture on t.v. and wished her a happy birthday. G-Pa DVRed it and we watch it everytime we are over there. Erin gets so excited when she sees herself on t.v.! (We did it again this year and have it DVRed at home ourselves. Same reaction!)

Daddy's Got His Work Cut Out For Him

I thought it would be cute to get a picture of Erin blowing a dandelion.  So I found a nice BIG dandelion and gave it to Erin and told her to go to town. 

Now Daddy is worried about all the little baby dandelions that will sprout around Erin's swingset.  More fun for Mommy and Erin!

Erin has a sudden interest in putting on hats.  She insists on putting them on by herself and wearing them backwards.

Erin insists on riding "Sandy" the horse at Meijer every time we go to the store. She is getting to be a Gen-U-Wine Cowgirl!  Giddy-up!
