Florida Trip: Part Two - Disney

On Tuesday, Ryan, Erin and I made our way to the Magic Kingdom.  Erin loved every minute of it. She really enjoyed meeting all the characters especially the princesses!  We watched the shows, parades, street parties and rode a few rides.
We arrived around 10am. As you can tell by the sweater and jeans it was not as warm as the day before.  It was damp and chilly!

Standing in line to meet Daisy! (Soooo excited!)

Giving Daisy a hug
Right as we walked in there was a street party going on, so we stopped to watch

We continued on down Main Street USA toward Cinderella's Castle.  There was yet another show to watch!

I think this was Erin's favorite part because all day long she couldn't stop talking about Snow White and this was the only time we saw her! We continued walking around and rode most of the rides Erin was able to.

Florida Trip: Part One

We started our journey on Friday afternoon and began driving down to Cincinnati where we would spend the weekend.  We left after the Super Bowl (What a Great Start to the trip with a Packer win!!) and drove all night to Orlando.  I had mapped out the journey and had a "prize" (or as Erin began referring to them "surprises") every 50 miles or so.  I had hopes that it would keep her entertained for the 13 hour drive.  It seemed to work out well and she slept most of the trip anyway.
Here she is opening one of her prizes (pretzels and cheese dip)
Whoever was driving was lucky enough to wear the chauffuers hat

When we arrived, the weather was gorgeous!  Close to 80 and a little overcast.  Erin wanted to go swimming. So off they went to enjoy the sunshine!

Residence Inn was a fantastic place to stay! We were quite happy with it.  The room had a full kitchen and they had social nights Monday - Wednesday with free food and beverages.  The pool was heated and free beer and wine and free Continental breakfast every morning.  Our food was pretty much taken care of the whole trip.  It worked out nicely!

Kids Say the Darndest Things...

  • The other night I was using one of those Biore Pore Perfect Strips on my nose. Erin asked me what it was. I told her it got all the ucky stuff off my nose.  She then proceeded to tell Ryan that it got rid of all Mommy's boogers. :)
  • We had a really rough morning yesterday and in an attempt to make Erin stop crying, I offered to get her cocoa.  After we were dressed I made her some homemade cocoa with colored marshmellows in the pink travel cup per her request.  She started drinking it. I thought "problem solved" and we don't have to get out to go get cocoa at Speedway.  We get in the car and Erin says "No cocoa." I asked her if she didn't want her cocoa anymore.  She said "No."  Okay.  "Gas Station Cocoa Mom." Apparently I cannot trick my almost-three-year old by making cocoa at home in lieu of "Gas Station Cocoa."

I've Taught Her Well...

After Erin's bath, she insists on putting her hair in a towel. ;)

Ready for the Super Bowl!

The other night Erin found Daddy's old high school football helmet.  She wanted to try it on.  It was almost too small. (She must take after her mother...)

Ready for Our Disney World Trip!

We are heading to Sunny Florida in three short days!  Erin took this opportunity to try on her Cinderella ensemble and prance around the house. She can't wait to go to Florida and see alligators and princesses!
