Big Girl Bed!

Over the weekend, we picked up Ryan's old bunk beds. We set up the bottom portion this weekend.  Erin got to pick out her new "big girl" bedding. Of course, she chose pink, orange and Dora! It might finally be working! She slept through the night on Sunday night for the first time in a REALLY long time...so long I can't remember the last time she did!
Complete with iCarly wall calendar

Now I just have to convince Ryan to let me paint her room pink and orange to match...

Erin Disappeared

Last Saturday morning, I was downstairs making breakfast when I realized I hadn't seen or heard Erin in a while.  I went on a search of the house only to find her back in our bed with the tv on (turned to the right station and everything.) She had gone back upstairs, climbed into Mommy and Daddy's bed and tucked herself back in to catch Saturday morning cartoons by herself!

Interior Decorating

We recently updated our living room artwork.  I am in love!  I finally have something on the walls that isn't "college-y"! Yea!
We bought the striped canvas at TJ Maxx around Christmas.  I had the wall sconces but they were boring silver. So Ryan spray painted them chocolate brown to match the sofa (look at him being all crafty! I told him that and he said that isn't crafty, that he spray paints stuff all the time. But I think it is crafty.)  We then bought the letters for "Riesenberg" at Michael's (thanks Dad and Susan for the Gift Card!) and painted them chocolate brown as well.
Then we bought this at Bed Bath and Beyond. It is hard to see the colors but they are similar to the canvas over the sofa.  Then there are little mirrors on every other disk. The whole things is wrought iron (or some metal thing)

Erin's Birthday Parties!

Last weekend we had about 40 friends and family over to celebrate Erin's third birthday! Erin was very excited for her birthday party for the weeks leading up to it.  When her guests started arriving, we still had to change her into her outfit.  She said "Hurry Mom Hurry! My birthday party is going to start!"

After this card, Erin held up every card to her ear to listen to it to see if it sang to her too!

Then last night we all went to Chuck E Cheese on her real birthday.  (If this kid isn't spoiled I don't know who is!)
Being Sang To (Again) with Cake (#2!) Her cheeks are flushed from running around Chuck E Cheese all evening!

Happy 3rd Birthday Erin!

I can't believe our little girl is 3 years old today!  How time flies!

We had a celebration over the weekend with lots of family and friends. Tonight, per Erin's request, we are off to Chuck E Cheese!

Florida Trip: Part Five - Back to Cincinnati

We made it back to Cincinnati Friday night after a long trip.  On Saturday we visited Krohn's Conservatory.

Erin makes it a point to climb on everything for a photo opportunity

Thank Goodness we brought warmer weather back with us!!!  It would have been a rough transition had it have been as cold as it was last week!!!

Florida Trip: Part Four - Downtown Disney!

On our final day in Florida, Erin started the day with the guys at the Turf Show.

After lunch, Erin and I went to check out Downtown Disney.

We found the Bippity Boppity Boutique and Erin got a princess makeover! She did surprisingly well at sitting still and having her hair, makeup and nails done.

All Done!

We were just in time for the Princess Parade!

The little girl right in front of Erin in the above picture was THE.SLOWEST.WALKER.EVER and literally made Erin trip over her and Erin had to let go of the rope. This nice Fairy-God-Mother-In-Training took her hand so she wouldn't get left behind.
The parade ended at the carousel and Erin rode it all by her self (with the Fairy God-Mothers-in-Training)
After the parade, Erin had to ride the carousel again and found another choo-choo train.

Erin insisted on taking her picture with every statue she found

We went out to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack

ERin got to paint a rice krispie treat crab for her dessert!
