My Little Craft Queen

We went shopping at Walmart last week and I couldn't pull Erin out of the craft aisle! She had to look at all the different "craft kits" they have. The "paint your own bird house", the box of crayons, paint, markers and stickers, the easel. When I told her we had to go, she put her hands up and said "Mom, don't rush me!" So Grandma to the rescue, bought her a suncatcher kit. They were all painted within 24 hours (all 12 of them!)

Memorial Day Weekend!

Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend was yucky and rainy and ruined the plans we had made (which were none.) But it was just the principal that had we MADE plans, they would have been ruined by the awful weather. Sunday, was slightly better in the morning so we headed to the Zoo! This was our first trip this year and it was great. The animals were active and fun to watch. We were only detered slightly by the tornado warning at the end of our trip. But we were done looking at the animals and headed home soon after.

On Monday, Erin and I went to the Annual West Side Memorial Day Parade. This was Erin's first parade and I think she enjoyed it. I wanted to show her the real reason for the holiday and thank our soldiers for their service.

Cubs vs. Reds Game in Chicago!

Over Mother's Day Weekend, Ryan and I had tickets to see the Cubs/Reds Game in Chicago. This would be my first trip to Wrigley so I was super excited. Phil, Bridget, Amanda and Jason came with us and we had a great time! We stayed and visited our Chicago friends after the game (Wrobel and Lisa!)
